Tucker Monthly

Tucker is 31 months old! He is ALL boy, ALL toddler, ALL the cutest boy ever, and ALL the greatest challenge --ALL at the same time!

These days, it feels like we say "no" and "stop" and "that's too loud" and "listen and obey" and "one more time and you're going to time-out" all the time! This season requires an unbelievable amount of patience and energy...anyone know where I can get more of that? :) But, on the flip side, this is the cutest stage as well, with Tucker saying the most hilarious things as he grows more and more curious about the world around him.

He is still amazingly observant. If we are within a few blocks of place we go often (church, Target, grocery store), he will tell me we are close by. He remembers where all the "diggers" are around town and he knows that we need to get on the interstate to go to church. His memory blows us away!

Speaking of "diggers", they are still his favorite! He is officially

educated on rollers, graters, excavators, bulldozers, plowers, balers... and so am I! When we were at the beach this month we found a John Deere store and Tucker was in heaven...he came home with a few new "machines" and he doesn't go many places without them.

Tucker is a sweet big brother and loves to interact with Hadley. He's nothing but affectionate towards her and we are so thankful!

He LOVES to be outside! He's had fun watching the garden and recently helped Daddy with watering it. It will be hard to keep him indoors this summer...

He loved the beach and one of the highlights was playing with his cousins (2nd cousins). We're looking forward to many more summer days with them over the next few months!

Tucker also spent a few days in Greenville with Gigi...without us! He was such a big boy and didn't seem to miss us much at all. It was so weird to be in our house without him (our meals were eerily quiet!) but it was a great week for him...full of lots of outside time, time with Uncle Anthony, Aunt Lindsey, and Aunt Beth! We are so thankful for Gigi...Tucker is keeping her on her toes and wearing her out :)

The highlight of the week was probably getting to ride on Anthony's new John Deere lawn mower...my boy was in heaven!

One sweet thing I will remember about these last few weeks is our nightly prayer time with Tucker. When we ask him who he wants to thank God for, it's always fun to wait and see who will come to mind. He thanks God for his friends, his dog, his toys, his family... one night he even asked me "Who's God's friends mommy?"...as if he wanted to thank God for them too. I'm so thankful for his young heart that is learning to pray and I'm challenged, knowing my prayer life would look a lot different if I was just simply more thankful.

We are thankful for our big boy and looking forward to a fun, busy summer!
