Hadley Weekly!

Hadley is 37 weeks old!

This week was all about her pulling up! She is loving her toy that she stands up on...and so is big brother! She pulls up on the couch, on the ottoman, on Tucker's tool bench...she would much rather be standing that sitting. She is trying to move a little along the furniture and I doubt it will be much longer before she's quicker on her feet!
One hand!
She wants to do whatever Tucker is doing...
She got her 4th tooth this week which has seemed to bother her quite a bit. She now has the two on the bottom and the two incisors on top--no middle teeth up there yet :)

She's saying "da da" a lot and making lots of other screams and outbursts :)

She also has mastered getting puffs in her mouth all by herself--Yay for high chair entertainment! Going out to dinner tonight was much more enjoyable :)

We are lovin' this age...Hadley is one happy girl!

Loving preschool!

The world just wouldn't be right without a digger backpack...
First artwork :)
Tucker is loving preschool! He's excited to go each morning...he sings songs and tells me what a little bit of what they do...and he takes great naps when he gets home :) Happy MAMA!

Hadley Weekly!

Hadley is 36 weeks old.

In the last few weeks, she's...

Grown our of her infant carrier. We bought Tucker a booster seat and she moved into his car seat. Seeing her in there makes it hard to believe Tucker still fit in that seat! No more carrying around that heavy seat :)
Tried her first finger foods...puffs. She's not great at actually getting them into her mouth but it's happened a few times. It will be nice to have something that occupies her while we're eating...it's always a challenge to eat these days between feeding her and helping Tucker.
Crawling everywhere! She can get across our entire downstairs in minutes and she's officially into everything she shouldn't be--eating mommy's shoes, buttons on the DVD player, and every other dirty, dusty, thing on my floor. This is one way to motivate me to sweep :)

Working hard on pulling up. She's achieved it a few times in her bed and is close to standing up on the couch and the coffee table (which we just moved out of the den to prevent any incidents). She is BUSY and developing way too fast in the mobile department.

HAPPY! She is so smiley, happy to see anyone and everyone, and just rarely fussy. She's just starting to act a little shy, in a sweet way, when people talk to her...doing the whole "lean into mommy" thing...love this!

Very fickle about the bottle. She still takes a bottle with Brad every night at bedtime but she will not take it from anyone else, at any time of day. It's so frustrating because she wont't take one with a babysitter but I usually just feed her when I get home or catch her up on the next feeding. This.is.a.hassle. But, I'm glad she'll at least take it from Brad!

Wearing 12 month clothes and her hair is just starting to get long enough for a bow :)

Still most happy when she sees her big brother. She literally starts kicking her legs and making noises whenever he enters the room. They are so sweet together...hoping it stays that way! She even loves to watch Mickey Mouse with him :)
A lil' diet update.... Over the last few weeks, I've added gluten and soy back into my diet. Although I observed some effects on Hadley (and myself) as she adjusted to having it in her system, I think she handled it fine. I started dairy last week (very little each day) and there's nothing too alarming right now except her lack of pooping. It seems to back her up (sorry, TMI). So, I'll probably give it a little more time before I decide to take it back out of my diet. I'm SO close to eating normal again :)

We are loving this stage with our sweet girl!

First Day of Preschool!

Tucker and his friend, Kit
Tucker and his buddy, Miles. We're so happy they're in the same class!
Tucker had a great first day at preschool. There is an ease in period for the first few days so he's only going 9-11:30 instead of 9-1. He gave me a kiss and a hug and never looked back... this made it so easy for me to say goodbye! There was a funny story to the day... When I came to pick him up, the teacher said, "Who are you here to pick up?" I said, "Tucker". To which she said, "Tucker's not here today." Hmmm... "Yes he is...or he better be, right?" The teacher looks puzzled and begins to tell me that they have been calling Tucker "Max" the whole day!! Max is Tucker's good buddy and he is in his class but was sick and unable to come to the first day. Somehow they got the two of them mixed up and since Tucker never corrected them, they just went with it! "Max" was on his artwork, his photo... it was like Tucker was never there :) We had a good laugh and they said "Max" had a great day. Here's hoping his teachers remember his name next week! :)

Celebrating Lindsey!

We had a family shower with to celebrate with Lindsey a few weeks ago at the beach. We are blessed with a lot of women in our family and Lindsey fits right in.
Lindsey is due towards the end of October and we're so excited to see if they're having a boy or a girl! Still can't believe my baby brother is having a baby!

My cousin Anna is due just a few weeks after Lindsey...3 new babies in our family this year!

Beach bums!

The beach is always a little crazy... You think beach, you think "relaxation"...until you have kids...and then it's not only the opposite of relaxation, it can actually be way more work than being at home. But, it's worth it... I think :) And it's definitely more fun when you've got a friend in the trenches with you...and a lot of kids to make for fun chaos!

Amber, Max, and Ava came to hang with us at the beach a few weeks ago. We loaded up our car with ALL of us...4 car seats, the 2 of us and SO much stuff. We had to take a picture of how our luggage was packed to make sure we'd be able to get everything back in the car for the way home. We survived the road trip without too many stops and only one bag of goldfish spilled and crushed in the floor.

It's such a blessing to have a friend with kids that are the same ages... It's been sweet to watch Tucker and Max's little friendship grow this past year and hopefully the girls will catch on soon as well :) Gigi was with us for the week too and a HUGE help as always. Enjoy our week in pictures!
Hadley and Ava...4 months apart
Happy girl with Gigi!
Silly to attempt I know...
Okay, so I know we look rough... but it's the only evidence I have that we were there :)
"Don't worry about us... We'll just be laying on the floor hoping the brothers don't step on us"
A few days before we left, Tucker got an ear infection...he was really sick for 12 hours with vomiting and fever. Sweet Max was trying to make him feel better...
And he succeeded when he bought him his own Mickey Mouse!
p.i.t.i.f.u.l. boy
Ava...seriously the most content, happy baby!
The most popular Gigi...somehow she keeps up with these crazy boys :)
Sun-kissed kiddos, tired mamas...good memories!

Hadley Weekly!

Hadley is 33 weeks old!

She's sitting like a big girl in the high chair (above) and the grocery cart! I'm so glad to be phasing out of the infant carrier because it is h.e.a.v.y. As soon as we buy Tucker a booster seat, we'll move Hadley to his car seat... and this really makes her seem like a big girl!
She's in the midst of dropping her cat nap these days, only taking it here and there. It's nice to have a longer window of time that she's awake. She's sleeping well otherwise and this Mama is thankful!
She doesn't seem to love her babyfood...she will eat it but it's certainly a change from her brother, who devoured everything :)

After a few weeks of bottle striking, she finally started taking it again this week. Brad gives her one every night before bed. She is so fickle with it but I'm just thankful on the days she decides to do it...

She's just such a happy baby these days! I feel like she's finally turned into a content, happy-go-lucky little girl... she is perfectly happy on the floor with a bunch of toys and doesn't require much attention. But, she is BUSY! She's starting to crawl all the way into another room now and she's sitting perfectly on her own. This week she mastered going from laying to sitting up, which she's been practicing in her bed :) It seems like it will just be matter of time before she's pulling up now.

No one can make Hadley giggle the way Tucker does...
