Tucker is 25 months old!
Turning 2 this past month has been full of things I don't want to forget...
Tucker never stops talking! :) He likes to "state the obvious", as Brad says...naming every object in sight and repeating it as many times as he needs to until you acknowledge it :) I LOVE the way he says "tank you", "self", "bana", "shcoccer", and "Jasus"... Oh, the sweet, funny sounds of a 2 year old!
Speaking of "self", Tucker wants to do everything this way--by himself! Everything from walking down the stairs to never wanting help with eating, he is all "big boy" these days!
He is just still obsessed with a ball! He literally will keep himself entertained for hours with a soccer ball, a football, or any other ball he can find around the house. Most of the time he prefers to be holding 3 at one time and he's getting better and better at his hand eye coordination :)
Tucker loves music and is now trying to sing songs with us and on his own...cutest thing in the world! He loves "You are my sunshine", "ABC's, and "Twinkle, Twinkle". And his dancing skills are only improving people...
He is still into anything that goes...tractors, diggers, lawn mowers, bikes, trucks, trains... and believe me, he points out everyone he sees while we're in the car :)
He loves school and his little friends there! Days that he doesn't go, he talks about it and he seems to love the routine of doing that on Tuesdays and Thursdays...Mommy is so thankful!
He's great with people's names...He loves to call people by name and remembers so many of his friend's names even when he hasn't seem them in awhile!
He's really into "boo-boos" and "ban-bans" (band-aids). The littlest things are dramatically "hurtful" and he'll do just about anything for an Elmo ban-ban.
He enjoys coloring...stickers...puzzles...and seems to have a little more attention span for things of this nature. Thank goodness...
He's doing great in his big boy underwear and rarely has an accident these days! I LOVE it!
He is wearing size 2 and 3 clothes, size 8 or 9 shoes, and is not getting any smaller for this prego mama to carry him! He now often refers to himself as "heavy" when I pick him up because I've called him "heavy" so many times... complex much?
I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting but all in all, I do just want to freeze this stage so many days... Tucker certainly is testing us on different things and frequents time-out pretty often, but his sweet nature and funny language are more than my heart can handle most of the time! I genuinely enjoy spending time with him and am starting to get a little sad when I think about how it's not going to just be the 3 of us for much longer. Here's to enjoying the next few months!
