Nature Center

Grandpa volunteers at the local nature center and we were excited to take Tucker to check it out! He saw all kinds of frogs, fish, and other animals that were "not alive" but fun to look at...bears, coyotes, turkeys, birds, etc. It was a fun morning and I'm sure he'll enjoy it more and more as he gets older! Enjoy the pictures... Thanks Grandpa!

"Nother Grandma"

"Nother one" is one of Tucker's common phrases right now and since he has been around 3 grandmas this week that are all called "Grandma", he simply says "Nother Grandma". We went to visit Grandma Seabaugh (Tucker's great-grandma) today at her new place that we hadn't seen yet and he had fun playing with his "nother Grandma"!

Happy boy with footballs and trucks!

We love you Grandma Seabaugh!

Thankful...

Happy Thanksgiving! We are snuggled up in a warm house and comfy clothes since it's only in the 20's here in Missouri... Tucker acts like he's been here for years with how he's warmed up to the new toys and all the people around here that are anxious to play with him and show him attention! And no matter what else seems to be going on around us, I can't help but be thankful when I hear Tucker say all his funny words or when he snuggles up after saying "hold you"... Our little family is just perfect for me and it's hard to believe we'll be adding a 4th in just 8 short weeks (Aahhhhhhhhh!)!

Our road trip over to Missouri was pretty uneventful but full of lots of DVD watching, bathroom stopping, music listening, and the pointing out of every truck, tractor, and cow in sight! Oh, the joys of riding in the car with a little guy who's learning how to talk! He never really got fussy but he NEVER fell asleep either! Thankfully he sleeps fine once he hits the pillow, whether in the hotel or in a pack and play that he barely still fits in! We may try to make the whole trip back in one day on Sunday, but we'll see how motivated we are if he never shuts his eyes!

Here's some pictures of family that was all together yesterday for some good grub...

And taking his turn at pushing... Tucker loved playing with Emma!

Tucker Monthly!

Tucker is 25 months old!

Turning 2 this past month has been full of things I don't want to forget...

Tucker never stops talking! :) He likes to "state the obvious", as Brad says...naming every object in sight and repeating it as many times as he needs to until you acknowledge it :) I LOVE the way he says "tank you", "self", "bana", "shcoccer", and "Jasus"... Oh, the sweet, funny sounds of a 2 year old!

Speaking of "self", Tucker wants to do everything this way--by himself! Everything from walking down the stairs to never wanting help with eating, he is all "big boy" these days!

He is just still obsessed with a ball! He literally will keep himself entertained for hours with a soccer ball, a football, or any other ball he can find around the house. Most of the time he prefers to be holding 3 at one time and he's getting better and better at his hand eye coordination :)

Tucker loves music and is now trying to sing songs with us and on his own...cutest thing in the world! He loves "You are my sunshine", "ABC's, and "Twinkle, Twinkle". And his dancing skills are only improving people...

He is still into anything that goes...tractors, diggers, lawn mowers, bikes, trucks, trains... and believe me, he points out everyone he sees while we're in the car :)

He loves school and his little friends there! Days that he doesn't go, he talks about it and he seems to love the routine of doing that on Tuesdays and Thursdays...Mommy is so thankful!

He's great with people's names...He loves to call people by name and remembers so many of his friend's names even when he hasn't seem them in awhile!

He's really into "boo-boos" and "ban-bans" (band-aids). The littlest things are dramatically "hurtful" and he'll do just about anything for an Elmo ban-ban.

He enjoys coloring...stickers...puzzles...and seems to have a little more attention span for things of this nature. Thank goodness...

He's doing great in his big boy underwear and rarely has an accident these days! I LOVE it!

He is wearing size 2 and 3 clothes, size 8 or 9 shoes, and is not getting any smaller for this prego mama to carry him! He now often refers to himself as "heavy" when I pick him up because I've called him "heavy" so many times... complex much?

I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting but all in all, I do just want to freeze this stage so many days... Tucker certainly is testing us on different things and frequents time-out pretty often, but his sweet nature and funny language are more than my heart can handle most of the time! I genuinely enjoy spending time with him and am starting to get a little sad when I think about how it's not going to just be the 3 of us for much longer. Here's to enjoying the next few months!

Farmer Tucker!

Since Tucker is slightly obsessed with farms, silos, fences, animals, and tractors all other things "FARM", we decided Tucker should be a farmer for Halloween (not to mention it was a cheap costume :)! We threw on some overalls and a straw hat and he was ready to go! We had a fun weekend introducing Tucker to receiving candy from strangers and let's just say that he "got it"!

Friday night, we went to a fun parade down main street in Davidson. All the kids get dressed up and make their way past all of the stores to receive treats. We had to wait in a long line but I think it was worth the chocolate that was consumed :)

Jonah the fireman, Clay the pumpkin, and Tucker the farmer!

Enjoying his first candy bar :)
Off to trick or treat!
Sunday night, we gathered with a bunch of friends for dinner and to trick-or-treat together with all the kiddos! Tucker rode in the wagon with his buddy Miles and had fun walking up to doors and picking out another treat! It was such a fun "first" experience with him and we've all been enjoying the candy ever since!
Tucker's favorite thing at the Murdock's house...the GATOR!

All the kiddos! Yes, this is amazing that they're all sitting and semi looking at one time!
