Tucker Weekly

Tucker is 41 weeks old! Most of this week has been spent in Greenville... Thanks Pops and Gigi for everything and for playing with Tucker so much! We've had so much fun with my family and some friends we've gotten to see as well!

Tucker is crawling all over the place (still not up on his knees) and as of today, he is pulling up! He is keeping us busy for sure!
He LOVES the water... he has had so much fun playing in the pool and now that he's crawling, he isn't as interested in being in his float. He never stops kicking his feet and moving his arms!
We miss you daddy! See you tomorrow!

last few days...

Tucker and I came to Greenville for the week and it's already been a busy few days!

I got to have a night out to celebrate my friend Annie at her baby shower (while Gigi took care of Tucker!)--it was so great to finally see Annie's belly and hang out with some great friends!

Annie is due at the end of September...

Jordan is due at the beginning of September...
Can't wait to meet these babies! Today, Tucker got into some kitchen items... He was banging around and he looks ready to cook!
This afternoon we had a fun time in the pool! Tucker had so much fun with Uncle Anthony...he really is a true fish in the water! Lots of kicking, splashing, and nothing but smiles! There were lots of great pictures, but here are just a few...

Tucker "pulled up" for the first time today when he was in the pool! He'll be doing it all the time any day now!

Looking forward to a few more days of seeing family and friends....

Tucker Weekly

Tucker is 40 weeks old! Sorry I'm a little tardy on this one...
Tucker is...
graduating to size 5 diapers
pointing a lot and it's so cute!
crawling--army style--everywhere, especially to the outlets, door stops, dvd player, and Grey's toys...basically anything but his toys :)

eating chicken (his first meat) and more and more food with his fingers
LOVING books and being read to...especially Goodnight Moon and anything by Sandra Boynton
He loves to sit up in his crib and he usually ends up putting his legs through the crib slats and can't figure out how to get them out--when I walk in the room, he looks like he's in jail :) (I will definitely try to get a picture of this soon!)
and drumroll.......
Tucker got his first haircut!!!
Don't get too disappointed so fast... If you didn't know this already, Brad is a pretty experienced "hair cutter"and he did a pretty good job considering Tucker was not a very "still" client. We just thought we needed to take a little off the sides and the back and an even smaller bit off the front. Here are some pictures... He's as handsome as ever :)

It was a good way to start the day...

Mr. Coffee - 2004-2009

Mr. Coffee has served me faithfully for almost 5 years. With the exception of the several months I allowed it to collect dust while I was pregnant, I have used it everyday. Complete with a timer and delay start, option of strong or regular, and room for 12 yummy cups of brew, I can't imagine getting through the day without it. After many long days of work, you started making funny noises, tiny sparks, and blinking lights. You have now gone on to coffee heaven and you leave a spot on the counter where another pot will have to replace you... Because I was so sad this morning, I went to Starbucks for some "bought" coffee and a free pastry :)

RIP Mr. Coffee :) The search begins...

Few days in the Mountains

We decided to go to the mountains last minute this past weekend... Our great friends, Scott and Ashley went with us (Sorry there's no picture to prove it!) and we had a great time! Tucker had his first "Kilwin's ice cream", we enjoyed 70 degree weather in July, and we relaxed A LOT! Something about the mountain air, a house in the middle of nowhere, and being with people I love just makes me happy! We look forward to Tucker having many more memories in the mountains!

Tucker Weekly

39 weeks old...

...on the move! does an army crawl and slides himself across the floor...but it gets him around

...loves to go after Grey's rawhides--EW

...loves slapping his hands on the hardwood

...trying more foods with his fingers...cheese, bread, more fruit...getting better and better at it!
...he's going from laying down to sitting up on his own... this is NO FUN in the crib when he thinks it's time to sit up and play instead of go to sleep! he loves to stick his legs through the crib slats and he can't get them out without me coming to help...good times :)

This morning we went for his 9 month check up...

He was still in the 95 percentile for height and the 90 percentile for weight! Our boy is tall! Crazy thought...he's 30 inches long and I'm 61 inches tall--looks like he'll pass me by the time he's 3.

He got one shot and he was so brave...he barely cried! Afterwards, we headed over to the Gibbs for the day and I was telling the boys how brave he was. Jason (6) said, "He needs a sticker"! So, he made a homemade sticker and taped it on Tucker's shirt :) Taylor, who is so used to getting pricked and prodded said, "Did he use numbing cream?" After telling him no, he said "That is crazy!" Love the way these boys love on my boy... Tucker is full of joy when we spend time there!

crazy hair

Brad is rebelling against Tucker's hair "lying down" and being parted... it's getting a little longer and it actually will lay down with a little work, so I figure he shouldn't have the mile-high hair forever. Daddy doesn't agree, so last night he finally put some "product" on Tucker's hair and got it higher than ever. Who will ever forget this crazy hair?

The morning after... "What happened?"

Taco Tuesdays

Raise your hand if you love Qdoba! I just learned about their "Taco Tuesdays" where you can get tacos for just $1 each! I'm not sure how much longer this will be going on...but we headed out tonight to get our $6 dinner (yes, I ate as many tacos as Brad...but hey, I'm still eating for Tucker and myself :) and it was yummy as always! Run out and get your tacos!

Happy Birthday Rebecca!

This is one of my dearest friends, Rebecca, and her cutie son Luke! Today is her birthday and our other friend Jen and I made the trip with our little ones to spend the day together! Rebecca, Jen, and I go all the way back to college and they are some of my most treasured friendships. We don't get to spend time together often enough, so it's always a treat... It's also fun to watch our 3 boys get to know each other! Thanks for a fun day girls... Love you both!

The boys...clearly Micah (on the right) is the only one happy about this group pic opportunity!

Tucker really does like Micah, I promise

Love these girls!

Real Simple STEAL!

Real Simple is more then a magazine...it's excitement in the mailbox... it's an hour sitting on a comfy couch or a beach chair with a favorite drink in one hand and the magazine in other...it's full of great ideas, great colorful advertising, and good cooking tips (no, I don't work for them...)

Well, i just found this great tip on one of my "great deal" websites--http://babycheapskate.blogspot.com/-- You can get a year of REAL SIMPLE right now for just $5! This makes it 42 cents an issue as opposed to the usual $4.99 price on the newstand! You can't afford NOT to get this magazine! :) I'm cringing right now at the price I paid recently to renew for the next 2 years...

Click here to go to amazon and order yours today! You'll thank me later...

Tucker Weekly

Today, Tucker is 38 weeks old and 9 months old (bear picture coming tomorrow)! It seems like all the time lately I'm reminded that he is not my little "baby" anymore... We had a great week, mostly spent at the beach! Tucker LOVES everything about it...the sand...the water...playing in the ocean with daddy... We are SO GLAD that he enjoys it! Life will be pretty boring for him this week after being at the beach and the pool every day! Tucker also started trying lots of new finger foods this week...toast, pasta, cheese, and even a peach with Pops!

The most eventful thing that happened this week is that Tucker is crawling!!! We are on the move... and by "we" I mean, Tucker is going all over the room and I'm chasing him! Yesterday he went further than a few feet and today he continued to explore more and more and we said goodbye to our coffee table in the middle of his crawling space :) We thought you'd like to see this action...

Enjoy some more pictures from the beach!

Tucker and Papa!
And Mema...

Fun in the pool with Aunt Darlene!
