17 months!

You know you are 17 months old...

~When you have accomplished a few "signs" and use them often, especially when you really want something (like this Snickerdoodle cookie)...

~When you climb on everything--the couch, tables, toys...anything that is raised off the ground!

~When you can play in rooms by yourself, even when mommy is in the other room... The room of choice this week has been the screened in porch since the weather has been so nice! Tucker LOVES to be outside and I love that he is contained, safe, and entertained!

~When your favorite toys start to require a little skill...

~When you can climb up the stairs by yourself and actually refuse to be carried instead...

~When you can walk with confidence from here to there without mommy or daddy carrying you all the time

~When you wear a size 7 shoe (yes, I said that right!) and 24months-2T clothes (and a lot of your pants are high waters because you are so tall!)

~When you can help Daddy throw the ball to Grey... We have had so much fun playing outside this past week and Tucker thinks he is strong enough to throw the "Chuck it" to Grey :)

~When you recognize the familiar places we go, the faces you usually see, and the babysitters you've gotten to know!

~When you can feed yourself (or at least give a really good effort) with a fork and spoon!

~When you talk all the time...you are constantly saying new words--some understandable and some not so much... he sure is trying hard to make sense! Even better than talking though, is how much he understands, comprehends, and can point out to you! He points out so many objects in books and will follow directions to do all sorts of things in the house (most of the time anyway)!

~When Sesame Street (especially Elmo) and The Wiggles are your favorite things to watch on TV and you do actually watch!

~When you are pure entertainment and the joy of mommy and daddy's days (and the cause of the end of our patience sometimes as well)!
