Through the Eyes of a Child!

You hear people say this all the time, but experiencing Christmas with a child by your side is enough to make me feel like a child all over again! When Tucker started seeing the Christmas lights and decorations come out around Thanksgiving, it was obvious that "he got it" and that we are going to have a fun month ahead of us!

We started Elf on the Shelf this year... He doesn't pay too much attention to the elf but whenever he sees him, he says "watching you"!

He LOVES his Little People Nativity scene... he plays with it daily and loves to role play with all the animals and of course, baby Jesus :) Funniest Jesus moment so far... The other morning he was wanting to give baby Jesus something to drink. He walked over to the kitchen drawer where my coffee is and said, "Coffee, Jesus"? He proceeded to tell me Jesus needed some coffee to drink... WOW, mommy is apparently drinking a little too much around here!
We've gone to some fun Christmas things around here, including Christmas in Davidson at the beginning of December. There was a petting zoo that went along with their live nativity scene and he had fun seeing the camel, donkey, and sheep...all the animals he reads about in his books!
Speaking of books, his favorite Christmas book has been This is the Stable! My friend Emily passed it on as one of their favorites and Tucker loves it! It refers to the stable as "dusty and brown" repeatedly throughout the book, so to Tucker, this book is called "Dusty and Brown". :)
He loves all the extra treats around the house these days...including these yummy cake pops that my friend Amber made for our girls' cookie swap! He's not going to know what to do when it's January and there's not dessert with every meal :)
All in all, he is loving this time of year, from blow up Santas, the singing Christmas trees across the street from us, Christmas lights, Christmas music, and on and on... This has made the season that much sweeter for us, of course!
