Tucker's First Hoedown!

Saturday night was our end of the year Young Life party and it was a huge Hoedown! In true Young Life style, everyone got dressed up, square danced, and ate some good barbecue! Tucker was the cutest little guy around if you ask me :) We love our Young Life family!

Tucker and his big cowboy buddy, Taylor!

Matching carhartts...Does it get any cuter?

Taylor, Tucker, and Jason!
Sweet senior girls that are graduating this week! Allie and Alice...I'll miss you girls!!!
One of my great YL leader babysitters, Becky!

Fun night with PW!

Last night, I got to meet The Pioneer Woman! As you know, I LOVE her and I was nervous like a girl on a first date as I got close to the front of the line! She was so great! Kind, down to earth, and not afraid to take a few minutes with each person in line. I went with a few of my dear friends, including Sharon (YEAH!) and we loved meeting her and getting some pictures! We're hoping we make the PW blog, of course :) The night continued with a fun girls night at the Cheesecake Factory! So thankful for my great friends, and for Ree, of course :)

Sweaty and Smelly

Well, it was bound to happen. Boys sweat. Boys smell. And boys like to do things that make them smelly and sweaty. A few nights ago during our nightly backyard-playing-throwing-the-ball-with-Grey-while-Tucker-chases-him routine, Tucker was really sweating for the first time--hair wet and all. We took him down to his shorts and let him run his heart out until we gave him a bath. It's going to be a fun summer...

Sweet Friends!

Laura (who is not in this picture because moms are never in the pictures) has been one of my dearest friends for several years now. It's amazing that we actually find time to talk in the midst of our small children hectic lives. But, I treasure her friendship and am always amazed at the ways we can pick up right where we left off. Laura and her sweet boys, Sam and George came to visit on Monday while they were in town. Tucker had so much fun playing with them!
George is 3 months younger than Tucker but almost just as big! We loved comparing their chunky legs! Yeah for Summertime and bare legs!

We can't wait till our next playdate!

My Picture Perfect Boy!

Sharon...You did it again! Ya'll have to check out these new amazing pictures Sharon took of Tucker and us a few weeks ago! All these miles are not keeping me from getting my boy in front of that lens! Thank you friend!

Taylor's Finish Line Festival LIVE ONLINE AUCTION!

You are probably going to be seeing several posts from me during this last month leading up to Taylor's Finish Line Festival and the gigantic Cookies for Kids Cancer Bake Sale that I'm working on that's part of it! Click here to to go to the website and you will find the live auction on the bottom right side! Isn't this car awesome? They did it for the upcoming festival!

There is a huge online auction that went LIVE on the festival website on May 1. I wanted to invite you to go look and make a bid on something! All of the proceeds will be going towards Levine Children's Hospital and the Make-a-Wish Foundation! Below is a blurb Melissa wrote up about the auction for more detail...

Today is a big day for
Taylor's Finish Line Festival! The auction that Grandma has headed up, goes live at noon! You can visit our website at www.finishlinefestival.com to click directly to the auction, which is being run through the NASCAR Foundation. There are some really incredible offerings, including a 14 person suite for a Redskin game, Yamaha motorcycles, a ski trip to Beaver Creek CO, baseballs autographed by Cal Ripken, a hockey stick signed by the entire Capitals team, an autographed copy of the cover of USA Today the morning after Dale Earnhardt won the Daytona 500, a basketball signed by Kobe Bryant, a Redskin helmet signed by Hall of Famers Darrell Green and Art Monk, an installed putting green, a leather jacket signed by Dale Earnhardt, Jr., a David Yurman necklace, a MAC tool chest, an autographed Richard Petty cowboy hat, a Sean Taylor autographed mini helmet, and lots of other sports memorabilia. These are some of the show-stoppers, but there are many other offerings. This would be a great way to support our efforts, particularly if you do not live locally in order to attend the festival. We can ship auction items anywhere, so don't be shy! And one more favor, would you consider passing on our website and specifically the auction information to your personal contacts? We love utilizing Facebook and blogs and Caringbridge sites if you'll have us! Thanks so much!
