Let it snow...again!

Hard to believe we've already had a few snows this year and it's not even February! But just like everything else, it's a little more fun with a 2 year old by your side and yesterday was no exception! We got Tucker all bundled up and headed outside... Mommy stayed safe on the sidewalk just taking pictures while Daddy and Gigi entertained little man! He loves to throw the snow and doesn't seem to mind the cold. The powdery snow didn't make for a good snowman this time but we did make some yummy snow cream when we warmed up inside! "Yummy in my tummy", Tucker said!

I think we're all getting a little cabin fever after being stuck in the house for a few days now but I couldn't be more THANKFUL to have Gigi snowed in with us... this oh-so-pregnant mommy is not worth much these days!

White Christmas!

We got home just as the snow was starting to come down last night! This was the 1st Christmas Day that it has snowed in the Charlotte area in 63 years! We got about 2-3 inches...the perfect amount to play in but not enough to hurt the roads too much. Tucker LOVED it...especially getting to build his own "Crosty"--his name for Frosty, who he has loved this Christmas season!

"yummy mommy!"

"Catch it Mommy"

We got a pretty snowfall here today. It wasn't enough to stick but they were the pretty, big snowflakes-- perfect for satisfying a 2 year old's wonderment of snow! "Catch it mommy" is what he kept saying... as he wanted to stand outside with his hands reaching out to the sky. Thankful for the little things that make a child implode with joy and thankful for the snow today!

Snow...The Best Kind

We watched a beautiful snowfall last night, played in a few inches of it this morning, and by the time I was driving to the grocery store after lunch, it was almost all melted away, especially on the roads! It was a light, powdery, and non-icy kind of snow! It's so nice to have enough snow to enjoy but not have it cancel all your plans for it! Not that we have many plans since we're hanging with Daddy on the couch :)

I got Tucker all dressed up and once he seemed about 20 lbs heavier, we headed out to check out the snow... It is so fun to watch him discover new things!

My boy has the best big red lips in the world...

After face-planting in the snow, he plopped right down in...he had to taste it, of course...
