Christmas at the Beach

We were quite the world travelers this Christmas with the hopes of seeing lots of family and grandparents. It was exhausting but our kids did so well-- I think Hadley was in a pack and play 8 out of 10 nights! After we got home from Missouri, we headed down to the beach to see my family.

The kiddos got some fun new toys from Gigi, including Tucker's cowboy "get-up", complete with cap guns! He doesn't even realize he hit the jackpot...

We visited with Mema...

and missed seeing Papa this time because he had a really bad cold :(

And we saw Pops - Tucker loved his new digger!

(Does anyone else have a hard time getting their 3 year old to smile in pictures? Awkward!!)

Christmas morning!

Christmas morning began with singing Happy Birthday to Jesus and enjoying the cake Tucker made with Grandma the day before. Cake for breakfast? Yes, please.

Tucker was a great age for Christmas gifts this year. He understood enough to say a few things he wanted (mostly derived by things people wanted in books or something he saw in a commercial) but not enough to be disappointed in what he got, if he didn't get something he asked for, etc. It was perfect :)

He did ask for a telescope (random!) so that was Hadley's present to him. It has a pirate on it and the first thing he said when he saw it was, "We need a boat!"

Tucker got a CARS sleeping bag from Grandpa and Grandma to go with the tent they gave him for his birthday. Now he's ready for camping!

CARS and anything small that moves seem to be his favorite gifts this year... He's officially really into the CARS movies and his imagination runs wild when he's playing with his own cars.

Sweet Hadley finally got a chair like "big brother's"! She loves to climb around in his and will be happy to not have to share :) Hopefully she'll be content to sit and not do flips over it...
